We're pretty excited about this feature.
In your account, you now have access to what we're calling 'The Visualizer'.
The visualizer is a tool that allows you to add a contextual link to any element on your site using a simple point and click tool.
The links you create will interact with elevio to open a specific article or module.
Best part is, anybody in your team can now add tips in seconds, without having to touch a line of code!
Here's an example of an admin using the envisage tool to add a tooltip to an element on their site.
Just click on what you want to add a tip to, and pick what you want to show, and save. Easy.
Pretty awesome, right?
We're really looking forward to your feedback and hope you love it as much as we do!
If your RSS feed contains thumbnails, you can now optionally choose to have those shown in the RSS module below the title and author information.
It's a great way to visually give your users more reason to read your latest news.
We've just added support for four new languages to elevio
When people search through your articles, previously if there was no results it would show them nothing at all.
Now, they'll be shown a small message letting them know there's no results, along with a button to go back to the full article listing.
You can optionally limit the number of articles shown per category to 5, with a "10 More" link shown after the initial 5 articles listed.
This is great if you've got a lot of articles in your knowledge base, you can show the most important 5 first so they are easy to find, then allow the users to dive deeper by expanding the category.
Here's what it will look like when enabled, and the category has more than 5 articles available:
To enable this, simply toggle the "Show 5 articles per category" toggle in your articles module
Elevio has a universal back button, which allows the end user to backtrack through their trail inside the elevio tab.
This is useful for getting back to an original article if they followed a link in the 'related articles' list, or if while in a live chat session you used a custom olark command to direct the user to an article, they'll be able to easily get back to your chat via the back button.
Below is a demo of the button in action:
To provide more options to fit in with your design, we've got something new for you to try out.
Our new display option, elevio button.
Rather than explain it, we've got a quick demo for you below:
