Update: Dashboard design update

Today we rolled out the first of a few changes that we'll be making to the dashboard design. We haven't changed any of the flows or structure in this update, it's purely cosmetic. Just a face lift.

Over the coming weeks we'll be making a few more tweaks here and there to tidy up a few loose ends and bring consistency across the board.

We think it's a bit cleaner and less noisy than the previous iteration, but we'd love to hear your feedback.

Update: New Visualizer Launcher & June Updates

This release comes with part one of a rework of the visualizer tool.

We're also taking this opportunity to rename contextual triggers to "Helpers".

From the new launcher screen, we've made it super simple to make quick edits to your existing helpers, without needing to fire up the whole visualizer tool. It's a great way to quickly tweak your helpers and see them in action fast.

For the first time, we also give you full control over the CSS selector so you can be super specific on what you want the helpers to be attached to.

For our power users, you can also manually create new helpers directly from the launcher tool for super fast creation of your tips.

New Feature: Custom content editor

Standard editors just don't cut it when you're displaying your content in a whole new way, that's why we recreated our editor from the ground up.

With elevio's content editor, the possibilities are endless, and gone are the days of showing block after block of plain text. Nobody likes that. With the new article creator, adding links, embedding images, creating headings, interlinking between content, 'callout' blocks, or just good old text is just a few intuitive clicks away.

Most importantly, it's a true WYSIWYG editor.
What you see in the editor, is exactly what your users will see when they view your content.


This is an integral piece that we'll be improving over time, a sample of its current capabilities are listed below.

The new editor is available on all accounts immediately, just start editing your content.

New Feature: Hosted Knowledge Bases now available

Something that has been requested so many times in the past is finally here, the ability to show your entire knowledge base as its own standalone site.

It's super simple to get up and running, simply log in to your account and click on the new "Knowledge Base" menu item to your left and follow your nose.

We'll get you up and going in seconds with some defaults based off your current setup, then it's up to you to tweak the style to best suit your brand.

Here's a couple of our own examples to get you inspired:

Hosted Knowledge Base's are available on all plans, starting from today.

Update: New custom form module

Hot on the heels of the release of the new RSS, Support, and StatusPage modules, a faster more reliable custom form module has been released to keep in line with those updates.

Over time we'll be unifying the look and feel more and more, to make sure everything is streamlined for your users.

Update: Visualizer updates


  • Added support for using visualizer on pages that use the hash symbol in the URL


  • Fixed an issue when the host site had bootstrap modals, it would prevent adding a name for the tip

Update: Support, RSS, and StatusPage modules

As part of a migration over to a new module framework, we're making our way through the modules and replacing them one by one with much faster and more reliable versions.

The first to make use of the new module framework are:

* StatusPage module

There's nothing that you need to do at your end, as we'll make the transition behind the scenes seamlessly for you.

New Features

  • Added new custom trigger option

  • Added an option to strip HTML / JS from support ticket threads


  • Added support for allowing restricted content to appear in suggestions if keywords match

  • Added support for when connecting to HelpScout, choosing to only connect to the ticket API (not forced to connect to the docs API)

New Feature: Reporting is here!

It's finally here... at least, in beta.

We've just deployed the base for our new reporting system, it's something that we'll be improving and extending over time. We've got some interesting ideas on where we want to take this but we'd love to hear your thoughts on this release and let us know what you'd like to see in future.
